TMNT: Out of Shadows trailer shows off Donatello’s skills

Everyone's favorite brainy, mutated, color purple-loving turtle got his own trailer for Activision's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. The Donatello character trailer showed off his robust skillset in the game.

The video above shows Donnie using his staff to destroy enemies — spinning it around and smacking The Foot with it like a baseball bat. The combos he's pulling off look fun as heck!

Donatello, while not the strongest of the Turtles, is certainly not the weakest. While he's contemplative and prefers to think problems through rationally, he has his own combat prowess. He's the slowest Turtle on the battlefield, but he makes up for it with tireless tinkering that allows him to make game-changing weapons.

The first of three titles from an agreement between Activision and Nickelodeon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will release this summer on PSN, XBLA and Steam.
