Ubisoft: Assassin’s Creed Unity was first teased in Brotherhood

Ubisoft's newly announced Assassin's Creed: Unity was actually first teased in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Ubisoft writer Jeffrey Yohalem has revealed.

Speaking on Twitter, the man who penned Brotherhood confirmed the ending sequence of the game contained hints towards future Assassin's Creed games. For example, the Phrygian Cap, a symbol of the French Revolution, was a tribute to Unity's setting and time period. Meanwhile, the Eye of the Providence was a nod towards the American Revolution/North American setting of Assassin's Creed 3.

Yohalem's admittance of the hints reaffirms Ubisoft's earlier statement that Unity has been in development for "more than three years." So the next time someone calls you crazy for coming up with some wild conspiracy of a game hinting towards something else, reference that person to this article.

Currently, Jeffrey Yohalem is working on the downloadable RPG Child of Light.
