Ubisoft Confirms Single-Player Story Mode in Skull & Bones

Skull & Bones is a new game announced by Ubisoft that essentially took what made Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag so great and divorced it from the Assassin's Creed franchise to give it its own life. In fact, it has since been confirmed that the game will, in fact, have a single-player story.

Talking with PC Gamer, an unnamed Ubisoft representative revealed that Skull & Bones, "Will offer a narrative campaign which will be integrated into the game and will not be something aside of the multiplayer experience. In this campaign, players will encounter iconic characters and memorable rival pirates. More details will be shared at a later date."

He also noted that the E3 gameplay demo was "just the tip of the iceberg" and that Skull & Bones has much more to reveal, leading us to believe it will be more than just Black Flag minus Assassins. We're hoping for more crew abilities, boardings, plundering, treasure seeking, etc.

The pirate life is coming. Stay tuned to GameZone to learn more as its revealed.
