It looks like Ubisoft isn't planning on making Assassin's Creed 3 or Assassin's Creed Rogue backward compatible any time soon.
The Assassin's Creed series has seen yearly additions to the franchise up until this year. We didn't get a new Assassin's Creed this year and might not next year either, but at we have been teased that the new game is "looking good."
With Assassin's Creed taking a break this year, it appears as though the thirst for the series has grown.
Ubisoft celebrated their 30th-anniversary by making a number of their games free over the last few months. The last game to become free was Assassin's Creed 3 and the announcement brought out fans requesting Ubisoft work on backward compatibility.
