Ubisoft has announced a new playable character for Rayman Legends on the Wii U.
Barbara, whose gameplay is shown off in a newly released trailer, brings fiery energy to the Glade of Dreams and the Rayman universe. She joins Rayman, Globox, the Teensies, and Murphy in Ubisoft's highly anticipated platformer.
Although Rayman Legends has only been shown off for the Wii U, today's press release also suggests the game will be available on multiple platforms. The fact that Ubisoft mentioned "on Wii U" leads us to believe that Barbara will be exclusive to Nintendo's new console, meaning other platforms will eventually see the release of the game.
This, combined with the fact that Ubisoft has not yet ruled out other platforms for Rayman Legends, keeps the rumor mill spinning.
