As if it wasn't already predicted, Ubisoft has confirmed it's upcoming title Watch Dogs will be available on PlayStation 4. We had a feeling after last year's E3 that the game would be for next-gen consoles, though today it was finally confirmed. On a side note, this was expected thanks to some leaked promotional posters.
"Next-gen games blur lines between real and virtual worlds more than ever before," said Ubisoft co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot. "Ubisoft has been hard at work with PS4 to make gaming experiences more connected, more inmmersive, and more interactive. We are creating games that can be played anywhere, anytime, across many different devices.”
With that, Ubisoft revealed a brand new gameplay trailer showing off Watch Dogs' impressive visuals and intriguing gameplay. For those unfamiliar, Watch Dogs is an open-world action-adventure that "blends cutting-edge technologies and sophisticated game design into a realistic and living open world where players must use any means at their disposal to take down a corrupt system." Armed with technology and the ability to hack into any connected electronic system, gameplay will focus on the concept that all people can be identified and tracked based on their electronic interactions. Players must use this ability to their advantage as they hunt down valuable targets.
Does this also mean that Watch Dogs will be available on the next Xbox as well?
