Ubisoft's survival horror game for the Wii U, ZombiU, could be getting a sequel. Given the game's overall positive reception and Nintendo's need for more third-party titles for the Wii U, it's not hard to see why Ubisoft and Nintendo would be keen on creating a follow-up. ZombiU released as a launch title alongside the Wii U back in November 2012. Shortly after realizing the game's popularity, Nintendo had begun offering the two together in a Wii U ZombiU Deluxe Set.
More to the point, Jean-Philippe Caro — the creative director at Ubisoft Montpellier — has said that work on the prototype of a ZombiU sequel is already underway. Below is the Tweet.
Caro's comments follow that of ZombiU producer Guillaume Brunier who said back in January that Ubisoft had considered including cooperative gameplay before scrapping it due to time constraints. ZombiU instead launched with a competitive adversarial mode in which one player controls the survivor and the other plays as the "King of the Zombies," controlling enemies from the GamePad.
What would you like to see added to a ZombiU sequel?
