Ubisoft Announces Outland for Xbox LIVE Arcade and Playstation Network

Ubisoft announced today the development of Outland, an action-adventure game for Xbox LIVE Arcade and Playstation Network. Developed by Housemarque, the team behind Super Stardust HD, Outland will be available in Q1 2011.

Outland is set to offer 2D action platforming combined with a stylish aesthetic (if you can’t tell from the screenshot), throwing players into a world of light and dark as they adapt to the changing landscape. Outland will also feature a soundtrack composed by Ari Pulkkinen, the composer for last year’s hit Trine.

Attendees at this year’s PAX event in Seattle (September 3-5) will be able to get their hands on the game at Ubisoft’s booth.
