Ubisoft Needs Help Filling Its Assassin’s Creed Encyclopedia

Ubisoft is looking to make its Assassin’s Creed franchise a big one. Despite only having two full-fledged titles, the studio is profiting from its DLC, novels, and Facebook games and is looking to create a massive encyclopedia of the series. They need your help to do it.

The UbiWorkshop site has a job advertisement up for those hoping to contribute to the encyclopedia, and they mean business. Candidates need to have excellent English writing skills, a massive knowledge of the Assassin’s Creed universe, and top-notch organizational skills. Those local to Montreal will be considered first, but Ubisoft is open to remote work.

Inexperienced writers are also encouraged to apply, as knowledge is key for this type of work. “We wouldn’t want to miss out on someone passionate and talented just because he or she doesn’t have a five-year experience,” the posting says.

Applications must contain two sample encyclopedia entries, the categories for which can be found on the UbiWorkshop. Drafting a comparison of the “real” historical event versus the “game version” of the historical event will net you major bonus points. This is a pretty awesome opportunity for Assassin’s Creed aficionados, and we at GameZone are offering the following advice: Do it.
