Uncharted 4 multiplayer to run at 60 frames per second, but won’t quite hit 1080p

Following Sony's Paris Games Week PlayStation Press Conference, Naughty Dog confirmed in a post-show presentation that Uncharted 4's multiplayer will run at 60 frames per second in 900p. Comparitively, the game's single player will hit 1080p, but will only run at 30fps.

Teasers for Uncharted 4 originally suggested 60 frames per second at 1080p; however, in recent months Naughty Dog confirmed the single player mode's 30fps. "To me, a locked 30 is better than a variable 60," Naughty Dog co-lead designer Anthony Newman said on a livestream back in July.

While the difference in frame rate can be noticable, espeically in multiplayer games, I'd hardly call it a big deal for the single player campaign. I mean, the game looks gorgeous regardless at what frame rate or resolution it's running at. And for multiplayer, the difference between 1080p and 900p is negligable. When it comes to multiplayer, I'd take a stable 60 frames per second over 1080p any day.

Earlier today, Naughty Dog showed off Uncharted 4's multiplayer, which looks to introduce new mystical elements and a more complex style of teamwork in the game's competitive mode. Check out the trailer above.
