Uncharted 4 will have branching dialogue options

Sony kicked off its 2015 PlayStation Experience keynote with none other than new footage of its biggest 2016 blockbuster, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

The footage appeared to be the opening cinematic of the game, though I'm not entirely sure. It featured series protagonist Nathan Drake at his desk, receiving a visit from his brother Sam, who had previously been thought dead.

While the cinematic was top-notch quality, as expected from a Naughty Dog game, the big reveal was the addition of branching dialogue options in the game. Yes, new to Uncharted 4 will be the ability to choose your own responses, though we'r enot entirely sure how in-depth the system will be.

The feature was only teased in the clip and allowed the user to choose which response he'd like to tell Sam for what Nathan has been up to. It's a cool feature, but we're not sure if it'll be as in-depth as say, a Telltale Games titles, in which your choices actually have an impact on the story. Hopefully we find out more during Naughty Dog's panel at PlayStation Experience this weekend.
