Answer to the question: Trick question, doesn't matter what you think.
Sifting through the released Sony emails is not a simple task, the emails are all jumbled up and typically end up jumping between multiple topics with out clear transitions. Some things are clear though, Sony looks at things through the green lens of money.
In an email from Sony's Doug Belgrad to a number of Sony individuals, Belgrad breaks down demographics and what they should consider as possibilities for the Uncharted film. His ideas of possibilities are not good.
Belgrad notes how Prince of Persia was "widely considered a failed adaptation with the wrong casting, but it still did reasonably good business worldwide." His reference to this film is directly related to the idea that Mark Wahlberg would be playing Nathan Drake. Belgrad goes on to say, "It might be the most relevant comparison and indication of what's possible with Uncharted."
Let me reiterate: Sony dully recognizes that the audience may not like the actor they are considering for Drake's role, but do not care because they would still make money off of it.
At the time the emails were passed along, Wahlberg was contending against Chris Hemsworth and Channing Tatum for the role, but it seems like Sony is leaning towards Wahlberg. Chris Pratt was offered the role, he ultimately turned it down.
Who is Sony looking at to play as Drake's love interest Elena? Avi from Arad Productions (a movie production company) revealed in an email to Sony's Amy Pascal that Emma Stone would be a "home run." Apparently Stone "wants to do a big adventure movie where she will be a big part of the film," according to Arad Productions.
Sony is looking to use Toronto as a base for filming Uncharted and are aiming for a Summer 2016 release if they secure the stages.
Take the reigns and search through the emails on Uncharted yourself.
