Today the Bluetooth-enabled, universal board game controller DICE+ launched at Gamescom and is now available to buy online for $40.
DICE+ sends the results of rolls or moves from the tiny device to your tablet, making digital board game experiences more interactive. The Powered Board Games app for iOS and Android provides owners with free access to games powered by DICE+. A number of titles that support the controller are planned for this year and early 2014.
Some of the compatible games include Backgammon, Chuchumba, DICE+ Heroes, Rainbow Jack, Rumble Stumble, and This Way Up.
Polish developer Game Technologies created DICE+ so that board game fans could enjoy the same dice-rolling fun even when playing digitally with a group.
