Following today's grand unveiling, Nintendo has confirmed (via its website) that Chrom will not be a playable character in the new Super Smash Bros. Seriously, can't Nintendo announce anything without confusion?
As a result, there are only three new playable characters: the returning Captain Falcon, along with newcomers Lucina and Robin. Robin also has an alternate female gendered costume. You can check out the full reveal trailer below.
The addition of these three fighters now brings the total Super Smash Bros. playable character count up to 36.
