There's a chance, perhaps a strong possibility, that you will be able to play Minecraft on PlayStation 4 later today. The status update comes via Mojang's Daniel Kaplan who explained that 4J Studios and Mojang are working out "some last minute things with Sony" regarding Minecraft: PS4 Edition.
Kaplan added that if, and when, it does release, it'll be available in both the Americas and Europe, clearing up any confusion over today's earlier post. Throughout the day, Kaplan has been posting status updates about Minecraft: PS4 Edition. He first said it would be coming "soon," later adding that it's "almost there."
In the meantime, Microsoft also announced today that Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be released digitally on Friday.
