After a not-so-subtle hint dropped that a PC port was on the way, Vanquish is finally on PC, joining a steadily-growing list of underrated console gems, including Dragon's Dogma and Valkyria Chronicles to make their way over to the mouse and keyboard. The game came out two days ago, and early Steam user feedback has been 92% positive, earning the designation "Very Positive."
To celebrate the launch, SEGA released a Developer Diary with producer Atsushi Inaba, animator Takaaki Yamaguchi, and enemy programmer Noriyuki Otani, who talk at length about where the idea for the speedy shooter came from as well as other topics. Here's the diary:
The Vanquish PC port brings some technical upgrades with it, including an unlocked frame rate, fully customizable mouse and keyboard options, and the ability to play with resolutions up to 4K, provided you've got the rig to handle it. The game also comes with all previous DLC and retails for $20.
Vanquish is available now on PC with earlier versions on Xbox 360 and PS3.
