Venom movie will be ‘carnage’

He will be the 'darkest most powerful super villain' yet.

Filming for the Spider-Man spin-off, Venom, officially began last month  and while details around the film have light, the trainers working with Tom Hardy (who will be Venom) might have teased some big things.

Hardy has been training with Nathan Jones and Mark Mene to bring the fight to his role. The duo has been using martial arts training with a focus on boxing, MMA, and grappling. The trainers detailed how willing Hardy is to train for the role and constantly ready for one more round and how the film will be carnage.

One of Hardy’s trainers, Mark Mene, said this at the end of a behind the scenes video on Hardy’s training for Venom.

“What the world is going to see one of the darkest most powerful super villains that Marvel has ever created. It’s going to be carnage.”

Saying ‘carnage’ was either a poor choice of words or a big tease. Carnage was rumored to be making an appearance in the Venom film after Riz Ahmed joined the cast for a “major” undisclosed role in the film. The same trainer took to Instagram to repeat the word ‘carnage,’ which suggests that we will indeed be seeing an appearance of Carnage.

Carnage has been heavily talked about as the villain for Venom and most side with this being true. The studio and Hardy have not confirmed it.

The upcoming Tom Hardy film has been labeled as a sci-fi horror film, which suggests the film will see some dark themes that Venom is known for.
