Convention
will be Held in August in Las Vegas

VALLEY STREAM, NEW YORK –
June 24, 2003 –
When compared to many
industries in the world the video game industry is young – just over 30 years
old – but already those that helped found the now $6.9-billion video gaming
industry are becoming legendary.  At Classic Gaming Expo many of these legendary
figures will gather to meet and share stories of those early days of video
gaming with fans of their work.  CGE Services Corporation is pleased to announce
that a stellar lineup of video gaming pioneers have accepted the invitation to
attend CGE 2003 in August.

“The list of early video-game industry
luminaries who have accepted our invitation spans the spectrum from software
programmers to hardware designers to magazine journalists,” said John Hardie,
CGE co-organizer.  “Each year we never cease to be amazed at the willingness of
these people to come and share their experiences with the fans who so admire
their work.”

Some of the early video gaming legends set to
attend Classic Gaming Expo 2003 include:

  • Alan Miller, co-founder of
Activision and programmer of the Atari 2600 games Checkers, Tennis,
Ice Hockey, Starmaster and Robot Tank.

  • Arnie Katz, Bill Kunkle and
Joyce Worley, co-founders of the first magazine devoted to video games:
    Electronic Games
    .

  • Warren Davis, designer of the
Q*bert arcade game while at Gottlieb.

  • Tim Skelly, designer of the
vector graphics arcade games Star Hawk, Warrior, Rip-Off,
Sundance, Armor Attack and Star Castle while at
Cinematronics and designer of the raster game Reactor for Gottlieb.

Engineering where he was the mastermind behind the Vectrex stand-alone
    programmable video game system.
