Official Prequel to Award-Winning No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.’s
Way
LOS ANGELES, CA –
(July 9, 2003) – Vivendi
Universal Games announced
today the development of
Contract J.A.C.K.
– the official prequel to GameSpy’s 2002 PC Game-of-the-Year,
No One Lives Forever
2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.’s Way.
Contract J.A.C.K., developed by one
of the industry’s elite developers, Monolith Productions, showcases the
award-winning storytelling of Monolith in a new singleplayer standalone
experience focused on giving PC gamers more action and less stealth while adding
new robust multiplayer content as well as a suite of mod-making tools.
Explore the dark
side of the No One Lives Forever
universe as John Jack, a rugged anti-hero in the services of H.A.R.M. The
legendary chief assassin for H.A.R.M.
organization has given Contract J.A.C.K.
a mission—whether he wants it or not. An Italian criminal
organization has plans to take H.A.R.M.
down and Contract J.A.C.K. must
stop them. In doing so, players contend with deadly enemies and survive against
ridiculous odds to complete the mission. Intense firefights and cataclysmic
predicaments are constant in this exhilarating step forward for the
No One Lives Forever franchise.
“In
Contract J.A.C.K., Monolith is
developing a fresh experience that will provide action gamers with more of what
they have been asking for,” said Phil O’Neil, Senior Vice President of Sales &
Marketing, Vivendi Universal Games. “Monolith is creating the
Contract J.A.C.K. storyline so both
NOLF fans and newcomers to the
NOLF universe can enjoy this new
standalone experience.”
Contract J.A.C.K.
will be available in November 2003 for the PC with a
suggested retail price of $29.99 and an expected ESRB “Mature” rating.
