As November approaches, so does the holiday shopping season. Of course, there’s a pandemic so the usual mad dash and crowds are a concern for many shoppers. Walmart has announced their Black Friday plans which aims to somewhat combat these concerns.
Walmart will spread out their deals across three events in November. Starting online on November 4th and in-store on November 7th, deals will begin on toys and electronics. One of the highlighted deals at this time is a 42-inch UHD Roku TV for $88. If you’re in the market for a new TV for Xbox Series X or PS5, this is a great budget TV.
More Walmart Black Friday deals will roll out online on November 11th and in-store on November 14th. This will include deals on more TVs, computers/tablets, movies, and more. The final event will be online on November 25th and in-store on November 27th. More electronics, toys, and seasonal decorations will be added to these deals. The 27th will be the official “Black Friday” but doors won’t open until 5AM local time, meaning doors won’t open after Thanksgiving dinner this year.
Walmart has also outlined other ways they’re aiming to keep Black Friday safe this year, including curbside pickup.
“We’ve been very thoughtful as we planned this year’s event. By spreading deals out across multiple days and making our hottest deals available online, we expect the Black Friday experience in our stores will be safer and more manageable for both our customers and our associates,” said Scott McCall, Walmart’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.
There will be a singular line into Walmart stores during these Black Friday events. Shoppers will be given sanitized carts and be asked to wear a mask before entering. It also seems they’ll be limiting capacity in the store to allow for social distancing and keep the store less congested.
