Warcraft may be faltering here in the US, but it is actually doing very well overseas (a projection that was expected). The movie amassed over $156 million over its first five days in China and is now sitting at over $200 million. Warcraft has raked in over $381 million in international revenue, which has beaten 2010's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time by over $50 million. The film's total budget was $160 million, so given that it has almost quadrupled that amount (and probably will when all is said and done), we can expect that a sequel will be in the works sometime in the future.
Here is the sales chart (provided by The Verge):
Note that while this chart posts the revenue at $378 million, the official Wikipedia page of Films based on Video Games has a more updated total of $381 million. China is currently responsible for over half of Warcraft's total international revenue, so if you were hoping for a sequel, send your thanks to the Chinese.
