Batman: Arkham Origins is a pretty buggy game. Some players have encountered worse problems than others, but the situation is so bad that developer/publisher Warner Bros. announced a plan to tackle these issues.
Warner Bros. intends to roll out a software update "within the next week," reads the statement.
"Rest assured, we are continuing to monitor all channels for other issues that players are experiencing and will release additional updates as they become available," the company wrote.
The three main fixes address the "Infinite Falling/Falling Out Of World" problem (where Batman is stuck in an infinite falling animation), the "Unable To Continue Story" glitch (no option to continue from the main screen), and a bug that prevents freeflow focus mode from unlocking at “Shadow Vigilante” rank 3. These errors affect all platforms — that's PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.
Warner Bros. already made some adjustments to the PC version of the game via update, including the above issues and a fix for blocked progression at Burnley Tower.
But the company is still searching for a solution to two "rare issues": corrupted saves and ongoing crash and freezing issues exclusive to the Xbox 360 version.
"We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you all for your patience as we work to resolve the issues."
Arkham Origins launched on Oct. 25.
