Prey has been gearing up for a major advertising run as of late, as just a few short days after showing off the weapon and power combos; the game is back to show off how to acquire and use Neuromods. If you've played a BioShock game, Neuromods are no doubt a familiar sight, as they serve as injectable abilities that you can acquire throughout your journey. The visual different here being that the injection goes into your eyeball for a gruesome but very memorable animation. Sadly, there's no bee swarm ability (that we know of).
This trailer shows off four abilities. The first is the Superthermal Neuromod, which appears to be one of the first skills you acquire as it is "easily tolerated by the test subject that requires few brain alterations,=." The second is the Remote Manipulation Neuromod, which allows the player to change something in the environment from a distance or call an object to your location via psychokinesis.
The third is the Kinetic Blast Neuromod, which acts as a sort of explosion ability for massive splash damage. And the final, albeit brief Neuromod is the Mimic ability, which lets players transform into objects in the environment.
Prey releases in full on May 5th, 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
