Justice League's release is fast approaching, and that means the inevitable onslaught of teasers, previews, cast interviews, etc. are about to drop on the film. AT&T appears to have done just that, securing an exclusive featurette with the cast of heroes from the movie, and released a small video focusing on both Aquaman and actor Jason Mamoa.
Check it out:
In the video, Mamoa gives us a look at the backstory for his version of Aquaman. He describes Arthur Curry as "the heir to the throne of Atlantis, but he's not the king yet." While he doesn't explain what exactly is happening in Atlantis that explains why he isn't there (which is presumably a spoiler for the movie), Mamoa says that in joining Batman and Wonder Woman's Justice League that "he can really put his skills to use."
Those skills are highlighted in some really cool stylized animations that show off his command of "all sea life" and his "superhuman strength and speed."
In other Justice League news, a new trailer for the film dropped last weekend during NYCC 2017 that teased Superman and Lois Lane. Aquaman's solo movie is still a year away from seeing release, and Director James Wan recently spoke about how complicated the film is to make. He says he aims to use as little digital manipulation as possible, but that things are coming along well.
Justice League is out in theaters on November 17th, 2017.
