It's widely assumed already that Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Watch Dogs— two highly anticipated Ubisoft titles — are coming to the Xbox 720. Although Microsoft has yet to formally announced the next Xbox, Ubisoft has essentially been telling us without really telling us that these games are coming to the next-generation Xbox.
Even when unveiling Assassin's Creed 4, Ubisoft specifically mentioned the already announced PS4 along with "other next generation consoles." The same has been said with Watch Dogs' promotional materials.
So this really should come as much of a surprise, but two Ubisoft employees have specifically referenced the Xbox 720 as a platform for both Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Watch Dogs. Gameplay programmer Paolo Maninetti specifically says in his CV that AC4 is heading to "CP, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox 720 [and] Wii U." Marketing artist Phil Brolles, meanwhile, states that Watch Dogs is a "work in progress for next generation consoles," specifically referencing "PS4/Xbox 720."
It's a little surprising, given how secretive Microsoft has been with the next Xbox, that both of these employees are so open with their work on the new console. Then again, maybe Microsoft hasn't yet noticed. Oops.
