Watch Dogs confirmed for Wii U

It seems no one is safe from the watchful eye of Ubisoft and its upcoming open world action-adventure game Watch Dogs. After announcing the game would come to the PlayStation 4 during Sony's big event in New York, the company sent out a press release to reiterate the multiplatform availability.

Said press release revealed that Watch Dogs would also be released for Nintendo's Wii U. It's interesting to think of how Ubisoft will use the GamePad considering the game's focus on hacking and espionage. While it may have been created by a different dev team, ZombiU proved that Ubisoft has some great ideas for the Wii U's unique controller.

In addition to being available for the PlayStation 4 at launch and the Wii U, Watch Dogs is currently scheduled for a 2013 release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
