FIFA 18, the next entry to the soccer series by EA Sports, is releasing in all regions tomorrow. Among those releases, a Switch version is coming. Many fans have been curious about how it runs in comparison to other consoles, and thanks to this new video, they may be surprised.
While the video lacks commentary, the comparison speaks for itself. The Switch version looks great. The shocking part about this is that the Switch version holds up next to the Xbox One despite not running on the Frostbite engine.
Yesterday, producer Adrei Lazarescu talked about the Switch version specifically.
"Although I’ve talked about it, and that team has talked about it, people see us as being biased. So hey, try it, and everyone who tries it says… ‘OK, I’m going to get this.’ We need people to get their hands on it
That’s the frustrating thing about it. I wouldn’t put this against the PS4 or Xbox One version, or vice versa, I would look at them as two individual football games. This one’s biggest advantage is that you can play it on the go."
Lazarescu directly addressed bias and still insisted on the quality of the product. This video gives more insight to that as well. Could FIFA 18 be the landfall for sports games on Nintendo Switch?
