Resident Evil: The Final Chapter claims to be the final Resident Evil movie in the franchise starring Milla Jovovich. We are about six movies deep into the franchise and begging for the series to finally release us.
The first trailer for the film has released and it's almost like Mad Max crossed over into the Resident Evil universe. The hallway with lasers is back from the first film, but this time its post-apocalyptic… Like everything else in the movie.
The trailer gives us a look at Wesker and some new zombies that Jovovich will be facing.
The official synopsis was released a while ago, but still applies:
“Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began – Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse…In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.”
The trailer makes the film look like it will be about as good as the previous five film, which isn't outright awful, but not amazing. Overall, the entire series has satisfied the need to see zombies explode.
