[Watch] God of War story trailer reveals April 2018 release date

Finally!

Yes folks, the wait is almost over. After many wrong leaks from retailers and PlayStation themselves, God of War is finally going to release this April. The reimagining of God of War also got an all-new trailer that sheds some light on what the game is about.

On Friday, April 20th, players will become Kratos once again as he runs from his past and attempts to start over again with a new family. We find Kratos amidst his new life with his son and his deceased wife, the two decide to go on a journey together to spread her ashes on the highest peak of the realm and along the way, they encounter many dangerous threats and uncover many revelations. You can view the new trailer above but beware, it’s a bit spoilery.

The game will feature the complete story, it will not be chopped up for DLC as there’s no season pass. There will be some downloadable content for weapons and gear but other than that, it appears that this will be the complete story. In addition to the new trailer and release date, Sony has unveiled two collector’s editions.

God of War CE

The God of War Collector’s Edition comes with a 9-inch statue of Kratos and Atreus, a cloth map, a steelbook case, some in-game content, a digital comic, and more extra goodies. The Collector’s Edition will cost $129.99.
