[Watch] Hardcore WWII shooter Day of Infamy showcases major update in new 9-minute gameplay video

Definitely a different flavor of shooter this time of year

Day of Infamy is not a shooter for the casual crowd. It demands speed and precision with a mouse and keyboard and the patience to not go charging in like an idiot with delusions of being a "badass." The game is currently in Early Access with a heavy emphasis on transparency throughout its development process. Developer New World Interactive has opened up their Road Map to the game's completion via Trello and provides great insight into the behind-the-scenes process that game developers have.

The team recently released a massive new update called "The Dismemberment Update," which by its name you can probably guess what it's all about. Limbs can now go flying everywhere. Boom.

On top of that, the game also brings a brand new map called Salerno (which you can see in action from the video above) which is inspired by the Avalanche map from Day of Defeat. The game now has some new weapons including the Browning HP, Thompson M1A1, TNT/Sprengbuchse explosives, Panzerschreck, Nebelhandgranate and for co-op only the scoped M1C Garand and suppressed Sten Mk. V.
