[Watch] Hello Neighbor invites you into a creepy basement with new teaser trailer

What's going on down there?

I don't know about you, but I've never once thought to myself "how cool would it be to play a nosy neighbor sim." After checking out, Hello Neighbor, I'm totally on board. Hello Neighbor is a sandbox game about one single question, what is in your neighbor's basement?

Developer, tinyBuild isn't saying because (duh) it's the biggest surprise of the game, but they do want you to know how they are approaching the game's development. First things first, transparency is a big deal for them. Right now, they are tinkering with different intros, and the art is close to final, but not quite yet.

Another big thing they want to share is that Hello Neighbor is going to be hosting an Open Pre-Alpha this weekend, which you can sign up for by heading over here

Here's what you can expect to find in the Pre-Alpha per an official developer blog post:

  • A very small house with just the ground floor.
  • The Neighbor’s AI works as intended, but will occasionally glitch out and start throwing tomatoes at you non-stop
  • The controls, the graphics, and the house layout are all placeholder. The final visual style is going to be similar with the one shown in the Basement Gameplay Teaser.
  • It’s a small fraction of the game

Hello Neighbor will feature a lot more content, including a much larger version of the main house with multiple floors along with a mix of story and sandbox-driven gameplay.

Hello Neighbor will release in full sometime in Summer of 2017.
