[Watch] Historical RPG, ‘Expeditions: Viking’ is out now, Launch Trailer released

A CRPG with deep tactical combat.

Historically authentic games have a relatively small, but passionate and committed fan base who will flock to just about any game that attempts to recreate a portion of human history. Expeditions: Viking is the latest offering to these kinds of fans, and is a tactical CRPG where players take on the role of a son or daughter of a fallen village leader, looking to assert themselves in the world around them.

The game released earlier today alongside a launch trailer, which you can check out below.

Early Steam user reviews on the game have clocked in at 90% positive. Logic Artists CEO, Ali Emek, had this to say about the game's release:

"After more than two years of development, we are very excited to release and share Expeditions: Viking with the public! Hopes are high at the studio as we make our final release preparations and we look forward to the user feedback on the forums and reviews to come.

We have been lucky to have the support of a loyal and passionate community over these years and we look forward to the years to come where we will grow together as one. We extend our great thanks to everyone who offered their time to be a part of our closed beta program and to those who have already volunteered to make fan translations so that Expeditions: Viking can be even more accessible to our audience worldwide."
Expeditions: Viking is available now on Steam and retails for $29.99, but will have a 10% discount on the first week of launch. The game's Deluxe Edition comes with a digital artbook, the original soundtrack by award-winning composer Knut Avenstroup Haugen (Age of Conan, Lords of the Fallen), and the Blood-Ice DLC and will have a 13% launch discount. It usually retails for $39.99.
