We've finally been able to digest the first trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and GameZone is all agreeing on one thing: it looks awesome. The trailer is serious, intense, and is full of tension and anticipation.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes stars Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Andy Serkis and Keri Russell. Directed by Matt Reeves, who's probably best known for directing Cloverfield, the synopsis of Dawn is:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
Caesar is being captured and modeled by the wonderful Andy Serkis, who's done brilliant work as Gollum in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, as well as Kong in the 2005 King Kong.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hits theaters July 11, 2014.
