Fans in attendance of Warner Bros.' panel today at San Diego Comic-Con had quite the treat today — and I'm not just talking about the new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer. No, no, I'm talking about the first official trailer for Suicide Squad, the upcoming film that sees some of DC's most iconic supervillains come together and form a team to execute a very dangerous mission in exchange for clemency.
It's mostly a teaser trailer, giving us a brief glimpse at the forming of Suicide Squad and all the villains involved, but it isn't until the end when The Joker (played by Jared Leto) appears. As Leto is the first person to play The Joker in a major movie since Heath Ledger's masterful performance in 2008's The Dark Knight, there's a ton of scrutiny surrounding the actor and his character choices.
The highly anticipated movie has been filming for a while now, and while we've been treated to quite a few teasers and unofficial shots from the set, today was the first time we actually saw footage. Well, those in attendance at panel anyway.
For everyone else at home, Warner Bros. has yet to release the official high quality trailer online. Thankfully, someone in the crowd recorded the whole thing. It's not the best quality or the best view, but it's better than nothing. Hopefully you're watching this before it gets pulled.
