Yakuza isn't one of the most well known PlayStation franchises but it's not exactly small either. The series is known for its narrative that follows the Japanese crime syndicate and its wide variety of fun and sometimes extravagant mini-games. The franchise has had great success both in Asian territories and here in the west despite not having an English dub for the Japanese voice overs.
While the series is about the release its 6th entry in the main line story, Sega has begun remaking the old PS2 games. The first game is set to release this Tuesday and the sequel leaked on the PSN store last week. The game has been officially announced with a December 7th, 2017 release date for Japan but there's no word on if or when it'll come to the west.
The game has been remade with Yakuza 6's Dragon Engine and will feature a new voice cast for supporting characters and various new scenarios. You can check out the trailer below.
Yakuza 6, on the other hand, will release in the United States on March 20th, 2018, just over a year after the Japanese release.
