Looking back at the latter half of 2015, it was a revealing time for the 1997 classic, GoldenEye. Microsoft's head of Xbox revealed that the company had tried to get their hands on the rights to Goldeneye multiple times, but it was simply too difficult. In addition to that, former developers at Rare revealed that Nintendo had wanted the game to be less violent and more 'family-friendly.'
As if to rub salt in the wounds over the fact that Microsoft never got the rights to the game or that we simply haven't seen an updated version of the game, YouTuber Jude Wilson uploaded a video recreating the game in Unreal Engine 4.
Wilson recreated the Facility level from the game as part of an assignment for his master's degree. The recreation is a mix of the N64 game's original layout combined with the film's look and feel. Check it out in the video below:
