What’s downloadable this week, Nintendo? 6/28/2012

After a couple of weeks of giving us content on the Wii through the Virtual Console and WiiWare, Nintendo has decided to put its shiny home console on the bench this week in order to place the spotlight on the 3DS. And the DS, too, I guess.

First up is Bomb Monkey from Renegade Kid, that awesome developer that brought us Mutant Mudds. Its latest effort is an exploding block puzzler that includes multiplayer modes. This one is priced at $4.99. We've also got Marvel Pinball 3D, which is a pretty self-explanatory title that costs $7.99. If you're looking for a great deal on an even greater game, VVVVVV is currently sporting a $4.99 price tag for the weekend. Of course, if you don't want to spend any money, you can always play the demo for Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure.

DSiWare's got Escape the Virus: Swarm Survival for 200 DSi Points ($1.99 for you 3DS owners). This one appears to be a puzzle game of sorts, but what matters most is that it features the following modes: Normal and Baby. Seriously, I'm not making this up. If you're looking for some side-scrolling shoot 'em up action, Flip the Core might be for you. It'll run you 200 DSi Points ($1.99 on the eShop) if you're interested.
