Wii U, 3DS-focused Nintendo Direct planned for April Fools’ Day

Tomorrow, April 1st — yes, April Fools' Day — Nintendo will host a Nintendo Direct broadcast.

According to Nintendo, it will focus on upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games. The broadcast starts at 3:00pm PT and can be found on Nintendo's main website.

Nintendo also notes that after the Direct there will be a live Nintendo Treehouse presentation "featuring one of our spring releases."

The Nintendo Direct broadcast comes at a perfect time, as Nintendo recently announced that The Legend of Zelda for Wii U — originally slated for 2015 — has been delayed indefinitely. It will also not be shown at E3 this year.

The delay certainly caught a lot of us off guard, leaving us wondering what big game Nintendo has planned for the Wii U this year. Perhaps we'll find out tomorrow.
