Wii U pre-orders spiked following Gamescom

Gamescom did its duty and did it well.

In the wake of the event, pre-orders for games have definitely gone up on Amazon. On just what platform the games are being pre-ordered on is the surprising part. Wii U games had the biggest increase in pre-orders with an 8.67% rise, the PS4 by 5.16% and the Xbox One by 2.81%. While these numbers signify that the Wii U is doing better, they don't mean that the Wii U's games are outselling the Xbox One's.

The games (not platform specific) that took in the most pre-orders post Gamescom are as follows:

1. Project CARS 42.3%
2. Rise of the Tomb Raider 30.25%
3. Bloodborne 16.08%
4. Hyrule Warriors 11.77%
5. Quantum Break 10.77%
6. Far Cry 4 9.53%
7. Assassin's Creed Unity 9.44%
8. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor 9.03%
9. Battlefield: Hardline 8.81%
10. Super Smash Bros for 3DS 7.56%

It's great that Nintendo got people geared up to play (and pre-order) their games. They have a lot to offer and a lot of catching up to do on the Wii U.
