Stardate 2016.03.25. William Shatner, also known as Captain James T. Kirk of the USS Enterprise, will lend his voice to a HCS Voice Pack for Elite: Dangerous.
William Shatner will voice an AI by the name of Orion that will accompany you on your travels through the endless emptiness of space. Over 1300 phrases are included in this pack and Orion will also respond to the player when the player asks Orion to do stuff like plotting courses, scan systems, or changing power to weapons.
The William Shatner voice pack will be released April 8th but is already available for pre-order. The pack will cost £ 9.99(about $14). Those who pre-order all enter in a contest to win some sweet prizes like: signed William Shatner photos, a signed exclusive piece of artwork from the Frontier development team, and "Leonard" William Shatner's book.
