Wind Waker HD washes ashore on October 4 in North America

Nintendo will launch The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD in North America on October 4.

The Wii U game is an improvement on the original GameCube release from 2003, with faster sailing and other new features, including refined graphics. It supports GamePad controls and sharing on the Miiverse community.

Wind Waker HD is coming to Europe on the same day.

The announcement did not mention the special Zelda-themed Wii U edition leaked last week.
