Earlier this month it was rumored that Woody Harrelson of Zombieland and Hunger Games would be joining the cast of the untitled Han Solo spinoff film. It was said that Harrelson was competing against our previous Batman, Christian Bale, for the role.
It looks like Harrelson has officially joined the Han Solo cast, his role was not revealed, however, his prowess at ping pong was.
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” said the film’s directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller in a press release. “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”
Harrelson will be joining Alden Ehrenreich (as Han Solo), Donald Glover (as Lando Calrissian) and Emilia Clarke. The Han Solo spinoff is set to release at some point in 2018.
