Patch 6.2 hit the public test realms (PTR) on World of Warcraft and it's bringing time travel (among other things). This patch will introduce seven different weekend events that will allow players to do some "Timewalking."
From noon Friday to noon Monday, World of Warcraft players will be able to revisit randomly selected old-school dungeons with a new difficulty.
The moment you enter the dungeon your gear and stats will be scaled down (you will retain all of your skills and talents), so that you don't simply steam roll through the dungeon killing everything with ease — bottom line, the dungeons will not be easy. Defeating the challenging dungeons of old will get you some nice loot. Almost every item that was in those dungeons in the past has been scaled up.
For example, when you loot the Red Sword of Courage off of King Ymiron in the Utgarde Pinnacle, it will scale up to your normal stats.
So what dungeons will be available on the PTR on the weekends for the next seven weeks? These dungeons:
All characters that are level 71 and up will be able to access Burning Crusade dungeons and once your character hits level 81 Wrath of the Lich King dungeons will be accessible.
