WWE 2K16 ‘Future Stars’ DLC introduces game breaking bug on PS4, Xbox One

Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners might want to opt out of downloading the Future Stars DLC for WWE 2K16. According to reports from players across 2K's forums, independent forums (via GamesRadar) and social media this DLC will break the game's Universe Mode.

Once downloaded on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4, the Future Stars DLC introduces a bug to Universe Mode that appears to corrupt saved data and make all of your hard work vanish in seconds. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players have lucked out, WWE 2K16 hasn't not been affected by the DLC's game breaking bug.

2K community manager Bryan Vore took to the game's forum to assure fans that 2K is aware of the issue and recommends that PS4 and Xbox One owners not download the DLC for now:

"We’re aware of an issue some users are experiencing with Universe Mode save data connected to the Future Stars Pack DLC. After initial investigation, we’ve found this issue only affects PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users will not experience this issue. If you are an active Universe Mode player on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we recommend waiting to download the Future Stars Pack until we fully investigate and resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience."

Hopefully 2K can patch in a fix for this before more player content is lost.
