X-COM creator’s new project Chaos Reborn leaves early access ahead of full launch

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, X-COM’s Julian Gollop began to create a new tactical RPG dubbed Chaos Reborn and since last year has been in early access. Now that phase is coming to a close with the announcement of the official full launch on October 26th.

The new update will reset all current accounts in anticipation of the new accounts but there’s also a whole slew of promised features coming to supplement that fact in the following months, including demigod and god roles that were initially promised during the original Kickstarter campaign.

While some of the promised features from the original pitch for the game have yet to materialize, Gollop is acknowledging that fact and promising that they’re still happening once the game clears official launch. That said, the game itself has gotten a lot of favorable response from the turn-based crowd and with games like X-COM behind him, there’s no reason to doubt that those items are legitimately on the way.
