Xbox Head Phil Spencer set to appear on PC Gaming Show at E3

Microsoft is still dedicated to the PC

Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, will be joining key PC developers in first ever PC press conference at E3. Earlier this year, Spencer took to the GDC stage to reveal a "unified vision for gaming" and to acknowledge that Microsoft had "lost their way" when it came to PC gaming.

Their support for the PC has been reiterated many times in the past few months and with Windows 10 bringing new features to both the PC and Xbox One, it's no surprise that Spencer is taking to the PC stage.

“For us, the PC Gaming Show is the ideal place to speak directly to PC gamers, and it’s a great time to talk about Windows 10 – the best operating system we’ve ever created for gamers on PCs,” Spencer said. “With Windows 10, we’re bringing the best of Xbox with the best of Windows gaming, and DirectX 12 for better gaming graphics and performance.”

Because Microsoft will have their own press conference during E3, you can expect some Windows 10 cross-play talk for the Xbox One — but nothing over the top.

Microsoft has plenty of games and the currently developing Hololens to talk about.
