After months of being beaten by the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One has risen up and taken control of July. It appears as though sales for the PS4 have slowed down ahead of the 'Neo' reveal, Xbox One sales amped up prior to the release of the Xbox One S.
According to The NDP Group, the Xbox One was the top-selling console in the United States last month. Whether or not Microsoft will reign supreme this month, with the release of the Xbox One S, has yet to be revealed, but at least they won July.
“We’re honored that Xbox One was the best-selling console in the U.S. in July, and that total gaming hours on Xbox consoles globally were up 18 percent over last year, reaching 1.55 billion hours,” said Xbox marketing boss Mike Nichols in a statement to GamesBeat.
