Remedy Games kicked off Gamescom 2015 with a riveting new trailer for Quantum Break, followed by a release date date for the highly anticipated game.
Quantum Break features two different elements — a game, and an in-game live-action show fused together. The game's story will focus on the heroes, while the show will be about the villains. The choices you make in the game will be directly impacted for the in game TV show as well, almost as if a show was thrown into a Mass Effect game. It was revealed today that Shawn Ashmore will play Quantum Break's main character, Jack Joyce. You can see him in action in the gameplay trailer above.
A new ability that was shown off was not just Jack Joyce's ability to freeze time and move through it, but to rewind time at a specific location to see what had occurred during an event. The trailer shows Jack moving through time in a junkyard and scrap heap attempting to take down enemies as he makes his way toward deciphering what exactly happened in this rift through time.
As for the release date, Quantum Break will release exclusively for Xbox One on April 5, 2016.
