Xbox One tour locations and dates announced

With the Xbox One's release just a little over a month away, Microsoft is putting their foot on the gas when it comes to promoting the next-gen console. The platform holder announced today the locations and dates of its Xbox One tour, an event that will see the Xbox team travel with the Xbox One to various cities, offering gamers a chance to go hands-on with the new system. From October 1st through the end of the year, Xbox One will be on display either through "Area One" or "Test Drive."

Area One are larger events/parties featuring live music and live gameplay with the Xbox One and its anticipated launch titles: Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Killer Instinct, Crimson Dragon, and Dead Rising 3. The Area One tour will visit 13 cities across the world, spending a few days in each one. Below are the Area One tour dates:

• Philadelphia: 10.3–10.6
• Paris: 10.10–10.13
• Toronto: 10.10–10.13
• Chicago: 10.17–10.20
• Vienna: 10.17–10.20
• Atlanta: 10.24–10.27
• Dallas: 10.31–11.3
• Berlin: 10.31–11.3
• Phoenix: 11.7–11.10
• San Francisco: 11.14–11.17
• Dublin: 11.14–11.17
• Los Angeles: 11.21
• London: 11.21–11.24

If you don't see your city in that list, there's a chance the Xbox One could come to you via Test Drive, a smaller scaled down event. Microsoft has four decked out Xbox One trucks that will cruise the streets, appearing at festivals, university campuses, and retail centers throughout the United States.
