With the release of Yoshi's Wooly World being the only way to pick put smaller size green, yarn Yoshi amiibo, many fans and collectors alike were complaining. Although the game receive great reviews including ours, many simply like the amiibo for collecting purposes and therefore don't need the game.
Nintendo of America announced on Twitter today that beginning on November 13th the wooly green Yoshi will get its own standalone release in the United States. It's one of three colors of yarn amiibo with the blue and pink Yoshi already out individually and the big size green Yoshi coming to Toys R Us exclusively on the 15th of November.
With the practical uses of amiibo coming in at slim to none, it's to Nintendo's advantage to make as many as possible available especially for collectors. According to the announcement, there is no indication of any retailer exclusivity for the mini green yarn Yoshi and should be available everywhere beginning on November 13th.
